A little About me

I am a Brisbane girl born and raised, who has a love for travel, coffee, netball and meeting new people!

My tutoring endeavours began in my first year of university as I watched the girl in front me struggling to keep up during our first mathematics lecture. After the session I offered to help with her studies and she paid me in coffee! A win/win situation!

I had made a new friend, aced my first course, was shaking with caffeine and found love in tutoring maths!

The feeling that comes with seeing students achieve what they thought was impossible and leaving their sessions with a sense of confidence is completely unmatched! This is the reason I do what I do and why I am looking to build my community of confident learners.

I take a gentle approach to teaching and believe the key to success in maths is having fun along the way.

There are no shortcuts with me…so be prepared to learn and re-learn the fundamentals! Conceptual understanding of mathematics is essential in building problem solving skills and the capacity to translate knowledge between concepts. Have you ever looked at the final question of an exam and thought “I have never learned this before in my life!”…. This is where conceptual understanding is vital and also where I come in.
